Every tensiometer that is installed, or maintained and reinstalled, must use a service kit. The service kit contains a pump that extracts the air from the gauge and creates a vacuum so that the unit can register the "soil tension" of the area in which it is installed. The kit also contains a bottle of anti-algae fluid which is good for about 15+ installations, twenty five monthly charts and a reference book.
