How
to change the default shipping option
- Place your order
for your products through the page that displays it.
- Put your zip code
in the appropriate box
- In the ship to
via box the default shipping option (Fed-Ex ground) will appear.
- To select another
option click the arrow in the right hand side of that box (see example
below)

- After clicking
on the arrow button the drop down box will offer several choices
What
To Do If You Need Your Item Fast
- Did you know that
U.S. Priority Mail will get your package to any USA, APO, FPO and U.S.
Territory address within 2-3 business days? Business days are days on
which most businesses are operating - i.e. week days excluding holidays.
- If you need your
item delivered next day or second day, we do have that service available
but because of the method that Fed-Ex uses to calculate those charges,
the box must be measured to get an accurate pricing. Should you need
this service please call our business office @800-635-3621, Monday -
Friday (excluding holidays) between the hours of 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM Eastern
Standard Time. Also you might want to consult our Fed-Ex zone shipping
chart to see how fast packages would get to you using the normal ground

Shipping
Items Internationally (except Canada)
If you choose to ship
items Internationally and you want to save money on shipping costs then
you should choose U.S. Postal Service surface mail with the understanding
that items might take 8-10 weeks to get to you. If you choose air mail
it will get there significantly faster 2-4 weeks. In either case you should
write in special instructions that you authorize us to insure the items
which can vary based upon the value of the item and the country shipping
to. It can cost anywhere from an extra $5.00 - $10.00 but it has the advantage
of being able to trace the package once it has left the U.S. Otherwise
there is no way to trace a package once it has left the United States.

Items to Canada
Although one of the
choices is Fed-Ex ground to Canada, we do not recommend that. Most of
our Canadian customers have told us they pay significantly more in import
duties when they ship that way. The preferred way to ship via Canada according
to our Canadian customers is either U.S. Postal International parcel post
or U.S. Postal service air mail. If you want to authorize us in the special
instructions to insure an item it would enable us to track the package.
We recommend it. The more expensive the item the more the insurance. A
recent package value of $400.00 that we sent to Canada cost an extra $5.00
for insurance.
Shipping
Items to Alaska and Hawaii
Just about everybody
agrees that in these two states the preferable way to ship is via the
U.S. Postal Service Priority Mail. It is quick and also easy to track
and less money than UPS.
How
to change an order once you have placed it online
We process and ship
out orders several times a day. If you need to make a change to an order
you should call us (800) 635-3621 within two hours of placing the order.
The exception to that is we are not open Saturday, Sundays and most major
holidays. If you reach our message machine please leave a message with
your return phone number.
Special
Order Returns
There will be a 10%
processing and restocking fee for all special order items returned to
FGS. "Special Orders" include those that are made up of product
that we do not normally carry as well as orders that are made up of product
we do carry but the purchaser has requested an amount larger than we would
normally stock.
Shipping
items that are oversized (United States only)
Some items such as
our pole saws only weigh 7 pounds but because of the length it is considered
by our shippers as oversized and hence is shipped with a 31 pound weight
charge
Shipping
small items (United States only)
Some items such as
replacement parts for our pruners, some gloves, etc. are very small and
we are able to ship them in a small padded envelope and charge , depending
on weight $3.00 - $5.00, to ship. This option is only available in the
United States. To select this choice in the drop down menu choose replacement
parts only. If the items you have selected will not fit in this envelope
(6" x 4") then we will charge you the minimum charge for a Fed-Ex
delivery in a box to your location.
